Knowledge ManagementI have a keen interest in improving the way that we use technology to gather, comprehend, refine, and remember information that holds meaning in our minds. Generally speaking, those involved in researching this subject are siloed in educational psychology and learning technology programs at major universities. Within these institutions, very little cross-pollinating of ideas seems to go on regarding finding truly innovative approaches to using technology to aid the learning process1. As a result, most of what is out there on this subject is pedantic in nature and out of touch with the needs of every day people.
In this section my aim is to explore the mechanics of learning and the technologies that support effective lifetime learning and knowledge management strategies. I will reveal that in addition to writing a first-of-its-kind book on the subject, I'm also currently contributing to technology that some believe could revolutionize the way that we use technology to learn. Between researching/developing the book and the technology, I hope to have many interesting and incremental things to share in this section—so please check back often.

1For example, how would our approach to learning theory and learning technology theory evolve if research teams also had members who were physicists, music composers and judo instructors—to name a random few?
